How do I book a visit?

Do you offer same-day appointments?

Yes! We offer same-day and next-day appointments based on availability. Call us for the fastest scheduling, or check online for open slots.

Can I reschedule or cancel?

Absolutely. Just call us or use the link in your confirmation email to reschedule or cancel. We ask for as much notice as possible so we can offer your slot to another patient.

What are your hours?

We offer morning, evening, and weekend appointments to fit any schedule. Specific availability varies — book online or call to see what's open.

Do I need a doctor's order?

For most blood draws, yes — you'll need a lab order from your physician, nurse practitioner, or other licensed ordering provider. Have it ready when we arrive, or upload it during booking. Some wellness panels may be available without an order; contact us to ask.

Which lab do you use?

We work with your designated laboratory — whichever lab your doctor already uses. We don't require you to switch labs. Just let us know which lab your order is for, and we'll handle the rest.

How do I get my results?

Results are delivered directly to your ordering provider through the laboratory's normal reporting process — exactly as they would be if you went to a draw station yourself. Your provider will contact you with results per their usual practice.

Do you perform the lab testing?

No — Doctor's Orders is a specimen collection service only. We collect and transport your specimens to your designated laboratory. All testing is performed by the laboratory, not by us.

Do I need to fast?

Follow whatever fasting or preparation instructions your doctor gave you — the same as you would for a regular lab visit. If your order requires fasting, please fast as directed before we arrive.

Should I drink water beforehand?

Yes — staying well hydrated makes the draw easier and faster. Drink plenty of water before your appointment unless your doctor has told you otherwise.

What should I wear?

Wear a short-sleeved shirt or something with loose, easy-to-roll sleeves so we can access your arm easily.

Do I need to prepare anything at home?

No — we bring all necessary supplies. Just have your lab order ready and make sure there's a comfortable place to sit.

Does insurance cover mobile draws?

The lab fee is billed to your insurance as usual — that part doesn't change. Our mobile collection service fee is a separate convenience charge for coming to you. Contact us for current pricing.

We serve all of Manatee and Sarasota Counties — including Bradenton, Sarasota, Venice, Lakewood Ranch, Palmetto, Ellenton, Parrish, North Port, and surrounding communities. Not sure if we cover your address? Just call.

Do you visit care facilities?

Yes — we regularly visit assisted living communities, memory care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and private homes. We coordinate with your care staff to make the visit as smooth as possible.

Question 18

Do you do employer drug testing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer DOT and non-DOT compliant drug and alcohol testing for employers, including pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post-incident testing. We come to your workplace.
